Riya Sen, the tender numero uno beauty of Indian Celluloid, was born on the
24th January, 1981, in Kolkata, India, is an Indian Actress and
Model. Riya Sen belongs to a family of actors, Suchitra Sen, being her
grandmother, mother, Moon Moon Sen and sister, Raima Sen. Riya’s father Mr.
Bharat Dev Varma is a member of the royal family of Tripura. Riya done her
schooling from Loreto House and graduated in Rani Birla College, both in Kolkata.
Riya briefly studied at the National Institute of Fashion Technology. Riya Sen,
started her career in Indian movies as a child artiste in the film Vishkanya in
1991. Riya sen got audience recognition as a model when she performed in
Falguni Pathak's music video “Yaad Piya Ki Aane Lagi”, at the age of 16. Her
first commercial success in her film career was with Style, a 2001 Hindi
low-budget sex comedy. Although films like Style and Jhankar Beats
succeeded commercially, most of her later films have generated less revenue.
Besides Bollywood Movies, Riya acted in Bengali, Tamil and English movies also.
Riya is active in Social Service too.
